Help & Advice

Telephone Advice

Many simple problems can be dealt with over the telephone. If you wish to speak to a doctor the best time to phone is before 11.30am, though you may call at any time through the day. The receptionist will be able to take a message and ask the doctor to return your call. There is always a duty doctor available to deal with urgent problems.

Health Promotion

All doctors and nurses are happy to advise on lifestyle and related health matters. Guidance and information leaflets are available in the waiting room or from your doctor or nurse.

Family Planning

All doctors and nurses are happy to offer advice about contraception during normal surgery hours. Drs Keith and Green also perform coil insertions.

Travel Health

Our practice nurses are happy to advise you about holiday health matters (including anti-malarial medication) and administer any immunisations. Please contact the receptionist and advise her that you require travel advice. Allow at least six weeks before you travel to arrange the correct immunisations. There may be a charge for this service as some vaccines and medicine are not available under the NHS.
