Appointments

Appointments can be made at the reception desk or by telephoning 0131 537 9844 from 8.30am to 6.00pm.

Our appointments system allows you to book an appointment with the GP of your choice. If you require an on-the-day appointment, you will normally be triaged by the Duty Doctor to assess the urgency of your request. If you work, we offer appointments at the beginning and end of each day. Only one patient will be seen at each appointment.

Extended Hours Service Appointments

Effective from June 2008, the practice offers Extended Hours Service appointments outside of our core hours. These are bookable up to two weeks in advance. Please contact reception for more details.

Telephone Appointments

You can also arrange a telephone appointment where the doctor or nurse will phone you if you feel you do not need to come to the health centre.

Urgent Problems

In the event of a life-threatening emergency, telephone 999 for an ambulance.

If you are unwell and feel that you need to be seen the same day, please try to telephone as early in the day as possible. If all the appointments are taken, please inform the receptionist that you need to be seen that day and, if possible, state the nature of the problem. You may need to speak to the duty doctor who will advise how best to deal with your problem.

Cancellation of appointments

If you cannot make your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. We can then offer those appointments to other patients.
