Clinics

Minor Illness Clinic

Our practice nurses run a minor illness clinic most mornings, for common complaints such as coughs, colds, sore ears, chest infections, urine infections, etc. If you think you have a problem that could be dealt with by our practice nurses, please tell the receptionist.

Chronic Illnesses

We have protocols for caring for chronic illnesses such as asthma, heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure and diabetes. If you are on regular medication you should arrange to see your doctor or nurse annually during normal surgery hours. You may be asked to attend one of our specialised clinics for regular review.

Influenza Vaccination

Annual flu vaccine is strongly recommended for all patients with heart, kidney or lung disease (including asthma), diabetes, residents of nursing or residential homes, all those aged 65 years or over and anyone with a condition that stops them from fighting infection properly (e.g. chemotherapy for cancer). Appointments can be made from early September.

Wart Clinics

Freezing of warts, verrucae and other minor skin lesions is carried out once or twice per month on Thursday afternoons. Appointments are made through the GP or Practice Nurse only.
