Non NHS Private Fees

Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges.

Examples Include the Following

• Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
• Insurance claim forms
• Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
• Private sick notes
• Vaccination certificates
   

The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability. 

Accessing Non-NHS Services

You will need to complete our secure online form to request non-NHS services

It will usually take up to 4 weeks for us to process your paperwork request, our Admin team will be able to advise you. This is because we need to carefully balance the amount of time our GPs can take to do private work, with providing core NHS services.

At times of high demand for NHS services, private work may take longer. There’s a fee for most paperwork, this is because GPs aren’t contracted or funded to do this work by the NHS, so it’s usually private work. If there is a fee, our Admin team will call you to let you know how much it is, this fee must be paid before any work is carried out.
